Cookies policy

1.- BACKGROUND

In accordance with Spanish regulations governing the use of cookies in relation to the provision of electronic communication services, as set out in Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, we inform you about the cookies used on the website of GRAPHENANO COMPOSITES, S.L. and the reason for their use

2.-WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. Cookies allow a website to, among other things, store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their equipment, and depending on the information they contain and how the equipment is used, they can be used to recognise the user. Cookies are associated only with an anonymous user and their computer or device and do not provide references that allow the user’s personal data to be known.

3.- TYPES OF COOKIES

3.1.- According to the entity that manages them

a.- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal from a device or domain managed by the editor and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

b.- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal from a device or domain not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

3.2.- According to their purpose

There are various purposes for using cookies. Based on the purpose for which the data obtained through the cookies is processed, some purposes may include:

a) Technical cookies: These allow the user to navigate through a web page, platform, or application and use the different options or services that exist on it. This includes managing the website and its functionalities, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted access areas, remembering the elements that make up an order, managing the purchase process, handling payments, controlling fraud related to the security of the service, registering or participating in an event, counting visits for licensing purposes, storing content for video or sound dissemination, enabling dynamic content, or sharing content via social networks.

Technical cookies are exempt from the obligations set out in Article 22.2 of the LSSI when they are used to provide the service requested by the user. However, if these cookies are also used for purposes not exempt (e.g., for behavioural advertising purposes), they will be subject to these obligations.

b) Preference or personalisation cookies: These allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with specific characteristics that may differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as language, search result preferences, the appearance of the service based on the browser used, or the region from which they access the service.

If the user chooses these characteristics (e.g., by selecting the website’s language via a flag icon), cookies are exempt from the obligations of Article 22.2 of the LSSI as they are considered an expressly requested service, provided the cookies are only used for the selected purpose.

c) Analytics or measurement cookies: These allow the responsible party to track and analyse the behaviour of users of websites linked to them, including the quantification of advertising impacts. The information collected is used to measure website activity in order to improve the service based on the analysis of user data.

d) Behavioural advertising cookies: These store information about users’ behaviour obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows for the development of a specific profile to display advertising based on it.

3.3.- According to the length of time they remain active

a) Session cookies: These are designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a website. They are usually used to store information that is only needed for a single service request by the user (e.g., a list of purchased products) and disappear at the end of the session.

b) Persistent cookies: In these, the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the cookie manager, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

4.- LIST OF COOKIES USED BY THIS WEBSITE

The use of cookies offers advantages in providing services within the information society, facilitating the user’s navigation and access to the different services offered by this website, avoiding the need to configure predefined characteristics each time the user accesses the website, and improving the website’s performance and the services provided after analysing the information obtained from the installed cookies.
